Depth Psychology Café

An online reflective discussion space for exploring and applying depth psychology in everyday life.

Because Depth Psychology is not just a psychological theory and practice - it is also a way of looking at oneself and the world.

June 8th from 5pm PST - 6:30 pm PST

Theme of next hangout: Individuation as a Life Path
What does it really mean to truly become ourselves — and how do we know we’re on that path?

What facilitates Individuation and what hinders it? How to recognize signs that you are actively engaged in the Individuation process? And other deepening inquiries we will dive in together!

Limited number of seats - 75 spots.

To ensure depth, intimacy, and meaningful engagement, the event has a limited number of participants.

This allows for a safe and contained space where each participant has time to explore their insights, share reflections, and receive thoughtful responses.

Welcome to the Depth Psychology Café

The Depth Psychology Café is a professionally facilitated, peer-based discussion virtual space for individuals passionate about depth psychology. Rather than lectures or formal instruction, our gatherings center around shared inquiry — bringing unconscious content, symbolic insight, and archetypal themes into dialogue with our everyday lives, relationships, and inner development.

Who This Is For

This space welcomes clinicians, students, and thoughtful individuals who value psychological depth and meaningful inner work. Whether you're integrating Jungian principles into clinical work or deepening your own personal journey, you're invited to bring your authentic self to the circle.

What to expect:

Live Zoom discussion circle hosted by a depth-oriented clinician

  • Each session is centered around a clinically relevant theme (e.g., projection, shadow work, dreams, complexes).

  • Open-format conversations that will invite insight, reflection, and authentic sharing.

  • A co-created space — your presence, voice, and curiosity will help shape the dialogue.

  • Optional reflective prompts to guide personal exploration.

Themes will include:

  • Shadow Work
How the unconscious shadow shows up in relationships, dreams, judgments, and self-sabotage.

  • Psychological Complexes in Daily Life
Exploring the world of inner complexes.

  • The Persona & False Self
When do we wear masks? How do we distinguish our authentic self from our adapted sub-personalities and masks?

  • Projection and Its Withdrawal
Recognizing when we’re projecting, how to use that as a mirror for integration and individuation.

  • The Inner Child and Early Wounding
How early attachment wounds shape our psyche and self-concept.

  • Individuation as a Life Path
What does it really mean to truly become ourselves — and how do we know we’re on that path? What facilitates Individuation and what Hinders it?

  • Dreams and Symbolic Life
Working with dreams as messages from the unconscious: decoding images, motifs, and moods.

  • The Inner Feminine and Masculine (Anima/Animus)
How do our internalized gendered energies shape who we are and who we’re drawn to? How can we become allied with our internal opposite gendered figure?

  • The Archetypal Mother and Father
Reworking our relationship to authority, nurturance, and psychic containment.

Session structure:

1. Opening (10 minutes)

  • Welcome and reminder of intentions

  • Grounding: a short guided centering

  • Brief overview of theme or anchor image

2. First Sharing Round (20–25 minutes)

  • Everyone will be invited to briefly share what has been alive for them recently - each share will be about 2–3 minutes each to allow for flow

3. Thematic Deep Dive (20–25 minutes)

We will explore the collective psyche around a shared theme.

  • Introduction of the depth topic along with guiding questions

  • Open group dialogue — people respond to each other, not just to you

4. Free Dialogue (20–25 minutes)

  • Open the floor fully

  • Themes often deepen naturally — dreams, myths, personal stories arise

  • Your role: hold a non-judgmental, curious atmosphere; gently reflect or deepen a comment if helpful

5. Closing Ritual (10 minutes)

Gently integrate and close the circle.

  • Integration question (choose one):
“What are you taking with you from today?”
“What image or feeling is staying with you?”

  • Closing grounding (short visualization, a quote, a collective breath)

  • Thank everyone warmly for bringing their psyche into the shared field
